May I introduce you to Miss Lark Lawrence, as you can see, she's quite friendly and inviting in demeanor. Not only was I instantly charmed by the two tones in her surprisingly interesting blond hair, her tender expression and gentle pink eyeshadow make her the least intimidating super model I've ever hung out with. I certainly didn't feel out of place around her in my fleece pajama pants which is a good thing because it's been frigidly cold here this past week and that's all I've been wearing. Piling on fleece pants and cardigan upon cardigan. I've been like a round little knit / fleece ball rolling around the house trying to stay warm as we've been getting to know each other, and I haven't felt judged at all.

Um, should we have an armed guard with us?
Um, should we have an armed guard with us?

It must have been hard for Lark to stay warm this past chilly week with all this ice on her chest! Lort! I love this necklace; it's way over the top and I'm afraid it's going to have to stay out of Lark's box when I put her away. I think other dolls are going to need to try this on too. And I am getting to work on that embiggenator in my secret lab to giganticize this to my size so that I can wear it to take the garbage cans out and perform other glamourous household activities that I partake in. It would make it seem so much more special to be wearing this necklace while washing dishes every once in a while, even if it is costume jewelry.

The most mind-blowing accessory...
The most mind-blowing accessory...

And once I get that embiggenator working, I'm also going to see if my little best friend wants me to use it on Lark's astounding footwear. I'm 5'9" and would hit my head on every doorway if I wore these heels but my best friend is like 5'4" and she would look so cute in them! I would only describe these heels as "shooties" reader, a combination of a shoe and a bootie, and shooties are a thing I hold in rare esteem amongst all footwear. So right away Lark's already got me. But then David Buttry had to go and make them open-toed, and I'll be honest the effect is so tiny you can barely see the little opening for the toes, but just the fact that I know those little toes are there, makes me over the moon for these shooties. They're 10/10. Couldn't be improved on.

She may not be so innocent...
She may not be so innocent...

A slight departure from all the pink bubble costume jewelry sequin shootie innocence is the slightly suggestive of S&M play handcuff Lark has on her purse for some reason. Well anyway, it's cute and most likely innocuous. A little darkness is welcome here I'd say.

Fantastic jewels!
Fantastic jewels!

But that's about all the darkness you're gonna get here, reader. The Prismatica collection is all about pastels and light and good feelings and soft 70's light rock on the radio. Or maybe K-Pop? I'm too old for K-Pop so I'm never sure if that's going on or not. Whatever you want to call it the vibe seems pretty relaxed to me. But our Lark is still bejeweled like she's going to formally meet the Queen. (I know England has a King now but meeting the Queen is just more exciting, you must get that on some level if you love dolls) Look at that rock! That's not going back in the box with you either Lark I'm afraid! It definitely looks like costume jewelry, but that doesn't mean I'm not a sucker for big gaudy jewels like this.

That face again...
That face again...

Lark's hair cascades down her back in a lovely way and mine didn't need any attention when she arrived, which is the way I like it. The color of her eyeshadow is the soft pink of her bra and purse, simple and sweet. Her lipstick I think, mimics an orangey pink that is present in some of the sequins in the dress. I kind of like it, but at the same time it sort of clashes with the pink of her eyeshadow, it's like creamsicle and bubble gum. Give me a steak and pepper sandwich at this point. Just kidding - (not completely but that's just me). The top of her dress is her pretty pink bra, and then her bubble dress starts, ballooning out at the waist to create a puff of sequins around her lower torso. I've seen in pictures of other Lark's dresses that the sequins' swirl is not actually chaotic, the swirls make a paisley design. I can't get mine to look like that for some reason, but it is very pretty, although I have to say at this point, I'm really not impressed by these sequins anymore. They're tired. Put them to bed please. There are other textures.

Paris?
Paris?

There is some discussion that this doll looks like Paris Hilton, the 90's reality star. I don't really see it. I interpret the look on her face as one of inner peace, of zen, or an inner knowledge of something profound. But I guess you could interpret it as the haughty self-satisfaction on the face of an outrageously rich person too young to have possibly earned it in any way, sure. It's all subjective.

What do you see?
What do you see?

I see a doll who is about to get robbed.
